Details:

This project was my first attempt to create a low poly character to use within a game. I was working on the idea of creating a Batman game that was a cross between the games Splinter Cell and Grand Theft Auto. I haven't done much more than implementing the basic walk cycle, but so far so good.

This project gave me the opportunity to study GLSL, the OpenGL shading language. The clip shows the result of using a normal mapping GLSL shader. I created a simple normal map for my model using ZBrush. It was also my first time creating a UVW map for a character, which I did using Photoshop.

All of the modeling work and animation was done in 3ds Max and ZBrush. The coding was done with Java while again using the jMonkey engine.
